Visit Madrid museums with an art historian

Madrid Fine Art Tours

You can choose any combination of museums and galleries for your 2 or 4-hour Madrid fine art tour.  Our expert guides and art historians make art come to life for the type of visit you would like. We would recommend choosing two of the three galleries of Madrid’s art triangle for your visit:

  • The Prado for a tour of the collection highlights or in-depth, tailored visit based on a theme such as artists of the Renaissance or the Spanish court painters.
  • The Thyssen-Bornemisza to see excellent examples of a broad range of styles from the 1300s to the present day. It also has some excellent special exhibitions, often dedicated to impressionism or fashion.
  • The Reina Sofia to see Picasso’s Guernica, works by Dalí, Miró and other Spanish greats of modern art.

Have you already seen The Big Three? Madrid has many other first rate museums you can visit on your Madrid fine art tour. The intimate Sorolla Museum displays the artist’s works in his original home, the MAPFRE collection of drawings from the 20th century brings together numerous works from some of the most important artists and illustrators of the 20th century. WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT US

Highly recommend Pablo as a guide

“I‘ve used guides in many European cities for museums to help fill in the history and provide context around the museum and the artworks. Meg was responsive, helpful and friendly in setting up a guide for us.

Pablo was our guide. He was A M A Z I N G. He was personable, knowledgeable and tailored our visit to our requests. Our four hours went by in a blink. Pablo took us through both the Prado and the Thyssen. In the Prado, I had a few requests to see and he was able to speak on each of the topics without missing a beat. He checked in about the pace of the tour and was skipped over things we had seen or didn’t care to see.

Highly recommend Pablo as a guide.”
