Sneakers for back up to walking boots & also for evening-wear
Sandals or flip flops for the evening (if warm enough)
Smarter shoes optional if preferred for smart, casual nights
Hiking poles
Water repellent outer layer in case of rain
Lightweight hiking pants & shorts, loose-fitting recommended (including undergarments)

A couple of quick-wicking hiking shirts (cotton is best avoided)
Some good hiking socks & some silk liners (if you prefer to wear them)
Vaseline to apply to your feet before putting on the silk liners or socks
‘Compeeds’ gel plasters are excellent for blister prevention. Can be bought easily at Spanish pharmacies.
A pullover for when it gets cooler
Insect repellent
Water bottle (or Camelbak type water bladder if preferable)
Daypack for walking
Sunglasses
Earplugs
Sunscreen
Sun hat
Hand-wash soap for laundry (the hotels do have a laundry service but they may not fit in with our timing)
Loose comfortable clothing for walking
Travel kettle (sometimes, but not always, in your hotel room – written by a British woman who likes tea so might not be necessary!)
Washcloth – not all hotels supply these so do bring one if you are particular to them
Hairdryers are supplied at all hotels so they are not necessary to bring
European power converter
